Refrigerator Bread & Butter Pickles Quick & Easy
Bring the sugar, mustard seeds, celery seeds, allspice, turmeric, garlic, onion, 3 teaspoons salt and 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan. Place the cucumbers in medium bowl. Pour the hot spice mixture over the cucumbers, then stir in the vinegar. Let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes.

Good, thick slices that will still allow the pickle to yield a crunch when you bite into it.The pickles and the onions remained crisp and crunchy and the flavor was off the charts. This is my favorite pickle recipe and is tried and true through generations in our family. Two batches were gone before the snow came.
