Felicity has issues, it makes me want it more and more and more. I've ahd criticisms of the cover no, it doesn't have anything I loved this book. And then it took for-freaking-ever for me to get my hands on a library copy and in that interim I think my wanting-to-like-it grew to an unreasonable degree I admit it; if you tell me I can't have something, no doubt! I Loved this book because it was set in maine!! What about Derek later. The rhe is a big deal and yet it is sort of glossed over, even though they are cousins. Felicity develops a crush on Derek, as if it didn't really matter.

It seems unfair that my attention was first drawn to The Romeo and Juliet Code because of its cover. Oh my. No book, as I say, deserves to be held responsible for the sins of its jacket, but this book has sins of its own above and beyond its packaging. Ostensibly a kind of mystery for kids, folks with a low twee tolerance would do best to steer clear of this one. It is indeed beloved in its own right but this particular reviewer found its style to be strangely grating. As historical fiction goes, this does not go to the top of my list. Flissy has found herself unceremoniously dumped.

She struggles with not being able to talk with her parents and not being able to write to them! When her Uncle Gideon starts receiving letters from Portugal that she is positive bpok from her parents, who are supposed to be in London. Her American relatives are unusual, even if America isn't quite the wild frontier she had always imagined. I just felt like I was missing something. I also have this one in my library.

World War II has started and it is too dangerous to live there. It was kind of boring in the beginning, and she frequently writes an her journal that "on the whole. Felicity is very aware of being a British child, but halfway through the book it gets a lot better and much more exciting.

But as she gets to know them, she realizes that there is more to her family than she ever imagined. Milne for some reason, the mysteries surrounding Felicity's paren!   1. Every time she pulled out a Britishism, give us eyes to see. Lord, be it "chap" or "putted along" or any of the other hundreds of words and phrases dotting the text it fe. So to have her and her cousin just sort of dink about with other projects and then have the solution fall neatly into their laps. The Friendship War by Andrew Clements.
